Slow Club Exclusive and Competition

Converse Music and Moshi Moshi Records are giving you the chance to win tickets to see much-loved boy-girl ‘Slow Club’ perform their biggest headline show to date at London’s Union Chapel on Monday 1st December. We’re also bringing you a Slow Club video exclusive!
What better way to kick of the festive season, than an evening with Sheffield’s most beguilingly joyful duo? Jay Jay Pistolet has been recently added to the bill as main support, with more magical acts to be announced soon.
To win a pair of tickets to the show on the 1st December please send an email to - GUESTLIST@CONVERSEMUSIC.CO.UK - stating your full name, number, and the words ‘SLOW CLUB’ somewhere in your message. Please note particpants must be aged 18 years or older. Winners will be notified by November 27th 2008.
Live as on record, Charles and Rebecca from Slow Club enrapture audiences with the same involuntary joy and simplistic rush that they themselves imbue. Charles with bruised vocal, a rasping guitar and disarming lightness of touch, casts unlikely wit against Rebecca’s angelic vocal and cheeky turn of phrase, amid her wild array of percussive apparatus including wooden chairs, glass bottles, and spoons.
You can get a taster of Slow Club’s live show right here with the premiere of ‘It Doesn’t Have To Be Beautiful’, recorded earlier in this year at Resident Music, Brighton:
Slow Club are also set to release a download-only festive single, ‘Christmas TV’ on the 15th December via Moshi Moshi’s website and other well-known online stores.
